Tonight you lay your head on your pillow and you remember how things used to be.
You remember that there should be someone next to you.
The warmth of his body next to yours.
Tonight you remember the times you talked about your day.
His laugh, his smile, how he looked when he slept.
He was your family, he was part of your history.
Let the tear flow into your pillow.
Let your cries turn into sobs.
Let your guard down, let your weakness show, let your soul be cleansed.
Tonight as you lie alone in your bed let it be ok to feel and release the pain you feel inside.
Go ahead cry cry cry your heart out.
But in the morning you get up, take a hot shower,
get dressed and hold your head up high cause you have a life to live!!!
Don’t forget the visine!!

  1. Love this. It is so real. Yes it feels like the pain is too much too bear sometimes. I feel crying is like a cleansing of the soul. In the long run you stop crying and start celebrating the day that you got you back. Just stay strong. So proud of you!
