LOVE IS ONLY SKIN DEEP…
A part of her yearns for beauty
To be the fairest of them all
Where does that come from
How does one tie beauty to love
Can beauty bring her love
Reality will tell her the truth
But the little girl still begs to differ
Never compare your daughters
Telling them ones beauty outshines the others
It’s such a burden to carry on
A lifetime of mirrors will follow her
And none will ever make her happy
But alas time to go find love
But wait…where’s her lipstick…
Oh my this was really good. I am facing changes in my face as I age and it is very hard when you are single. I think there will be growth from it, and I will learn the true meaning of beauty. It is what I am hoping for anyways! 🙂

You have captured the ambiguity to the situation. I think it is so hard not to view beauty from the outside but trust that nice and kind people will try to look deeper. I liked the way you expressed this.
